Following treatment of Ucp2+/+ or Ucp2−/− mice with or without 4 μg/g bw LPS for 3 h, spleens were collected for the preparation of cytoplasmic and nuclear protein fractions. Translocation of p50 and p65 under basal conditions (A) or following LPS treatment (B) was detected by Western blotting with specific antibodies against the p50 or p65 subunit and β-actin or nuclear factor YY1.
