Structural characterization of winning aptamers. Nucleotides 13–32 (31 in 5F) in the RNAs are derived from the random sequence. RNAs (Table 1 ▶) were folded using Mfold (Zuker 2003). The structures were confirmed by limited nuclease digestion as described in the Supplemental Material (http://www.biochem.missouri.edu/schmidtf/Striggles2006supp.pdf).
