Lines highlight the fact that modes of interaction associated with cortical Bud6p are absent in the bud of bud6Δ cells but are still present in the mother cell.
This category represents MTs growing along the cell cortex and was not accompanied by the SPB moving away from the cell cortex as in wild-type cells, in which MTs grew against the cortex.
Duration of cortical interactions represents the average of 20 independent events ± S.D.
