MSD0 is required for the vacuolar localization of Ycf1p. The GFP fluorescence pattern of the C-terminal partial molecule L0-ΔYcf1p is shown for cells expressing solely L0-ΔYcf1p (A) or for cells coexpressing L0-ΔYcf1p and MSD0 (B). Two examples are shown for each. In the corresponding DIC images of these cells, the vacuole appears as an indentation (C and D). The strains used are SM4763 (A) and SM4741 (B).
