Additional ER chaperones bind to the same domain of heavy chain as BiP. Ag8(8) (lanes 1 and 2) and G403 (lanes 3–6) cells (heavy chain [HC] ΔCH1+, LC−) were labeled overnight, split in two aliquots, and treated with 0 or 100 μg/ml DSP. Gamma heavy chains were precipitated with protein A-Sepharose and analyzed by reducing SDS-PAGE.
