(a) Hs 578T, MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7 breast cancer cells were treated for 2 days with 100 μmol/l zoledronic acid. The percentage of fragmented chromosomal DNA was measured in cells treated with zoledronic acid and compared with that of control (vehicle-treated) cells as previously described [23]. ^*P < 0.0005 versus control.
