^aSera from 195 patients with Chagas' disease and 514 individuals without Chagas' disease were tested. Presumed false-positive test results occurred with the cutoff of an OD of 0.400 with samples from the following subjects: by the Tulahuen TESA-based assay, one subject with cutaneous leishmaniasis and one healthy control; by the Brazil TESA-based assay, one subject with cutaneous leishmaniasis, two subjects with toxoplasmosis, and one healthy control.
