Cell fractionation of Orf49-transfected cells. Cos-1 cells were transfected with Orf49-Flag and separated into nuclear and cytoplasmic fractions. Equal amounts of protein were loaded onto SDS-PAGE gels and transferred to nitrocellulose and the blots were probed with Flag antibody. The upper panel shows Orf49-Flag expression in the nucleus (Nuc.) and the cytoplasm (Cyto.). The lower panel shows expression of GRP-78, a bona fide cytoplasmic marker.
