The range of inducer tested for B. subtilis strain EB323 was 2, 0.2, 0.063, and 0.02% xylose. The range of inducer tested for E. coli strain EB370 was 0.2, 0.02, 0.0063, and 0.002% arabinose. In both cases, the samples with no inducer did not grow, and those data have not been included in the results. Fold sensitization in MIC is calculated from the lowest level of inducer tested that allowed for growth with respect to the fully complemented deletion strain.
NP, not possible.
