Each value is expressed as Mean ± SD of eight experiments. ###p < 0.001 Vs Sham; *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.0001 Vs Control IR. Total cell counts and Bax, Bcl-2 and TUNEL positive cells in the specimens were determined by means of a light microscope. The Bax, Bcl-2 and TUNEL positive cells were expressed as percentage of normal nuclei.
