T1R3 immunoreactivity in taste tissue of B6 and 129 mice. Longitudinal sections from fungiform, foliate, and circumvallate papillae were immunostained with rabbit antiserum directed against a synthetic peptide from the N-terminal domain of T1R3, with a Cy3-conjugated anti-rabbit secondary antibody. No differences between the two mouse strains were apparent in expression levels of the receptor in any sections examined. Magnification, 250×.
