The MnCl₂ sensitivity phenotype associated with loss of TdCRZ1 is not suppressed by exposure to FK506 or cyclosporine A. YPD-grown cultures of the T. delbrueckii strains PYCC5321 (wild type [wt]) and MJH211 (Tdcrz1Δ) were adjusted to an OD₆₀₀ of 0.3, diluted (1 to 10⁻³), and spotted (3 μl) onto 5 mM MnCl₂-YPD agar medium with or without FK506 or cyclosporine A (CsA) at the indicated concentration (in micrograms per milliliter). Plates were incubated at 30°C for 2 to 5 days. A representative experiment is shown.
