Protein Gel Blot Analysis of CHLL, CHLN, and CHLB in Wild-Type and y Mutant Strains of Chlamydomonas.

Total cell extracts were prepared from light- (LT) and dark-grown (DK) (A) wild-type (WT) and (B) y mutant strains. The extracts were fractionated by SDS-PAGE, transferred to a nitrocellulose membrane, and reacted with antisera specific for one of the subunits of the light-independent PChlide reductase (CHLL, CHLN, or CHLB) or for the β subunit of the chloroplast coupling factor CF₁-ATPase (β-ATPase), which served as a loading control.
