The percentage differences of nucleotide sites in the predicted coding region and amino acid sites in deduced proteins of the Xa26 family in four varieties. The results in each catalog are from pairwise comparisons. The sequences were aligned using the ClustalX program (Thompson et al., 1997), and sequence differences were calculated using the MEGA program (Nei and Kumar, 2000). The first four columns (93, Nip, TQ, and MH) presenting nucleotide-site difference or amino acid-site difference show comparisons of paralogs within each variety, and the subsequent four (a, b, c, and d) are comparison of orthologs across varieties. 93, 93-11; all members except the truncated member (9RKh) were included for paralog comparison. TQ, Teqing; all members except the truncated members (TRKh, TRKi, and TRKj) were included for paralog comparison. Nip, Nipponbare; MH, Minghui 63; all members in Nipponbare and Minghui 63 were included for paralog comparisons. a, b, c, and d, The a, b, c, and d members in the four rice varieties. The two a, b, c, and d members in Nipponbare were considered as orthologs in the ortholog comparison. −, Average percentage difference of each comparison.
