Figure 3.

Phylogenetic analysis of the Xa26 family members in four rice varieties. The phylogenetic trees are neighbor-joining trees for nucleotide sequences of different regions. The trees for the kinase domain (A), LRR domain (B), and complete coding region (C) were constructed using Jukes-Cantor distances. The tree for the intron (D) was constructed using p distance. The numbers for interior branches indicate the bootstrap values for 1,000 replications. The scale at the bottom is in units of nucleotide substitutions per site. The rice bacterial blight R gene Xa21 (Song et al., 1995) was used as the outgroup.
