A correction to the original MV strain Lausanne sequence (GenBank accession number AF170726) at position 148855 resulted in the collapse of two predicted open reading frames (ORFs) into a single CDS. (A) The original putative amino acid sequences for M153R and M153R.1R are presented above the nucleotide sequences. An extra guanine in a stretch of six G's (bold type) resulted in the incorrect identification of the termination of the original M153R ORF and the prediction of a second ORF denoted M153R.1R.
