Deletion of M153R from MV restores CD4 expression. A total of 10⁶ GHOST cells were either mock infected or infected with GFP-expressing MV (vMyxgfp) or M153 knockout virus (vMyx153KO). Infections were allowed to proceed overnight, and samples were collected 24 h postinfection. Cells were lysed in 1% Triton X-100 lysis buffer, and 50-μg samples of whole-cell lysates were run on a 10% polyacrylamide gel, blotted, and probed with a rabbit polyclonal anti-human CD4 antibody.
