Constructs containing inactivated nsP2 protease C478ACA produce nonprocessed polyproteins, whereas wild-type polyproteins are processed to individual nsPs (see also Fig. 2C). Recombinant adeno- and baculovirus systems as well as transfection of plasmids were utilized for expression of the proteins under study.
