NC mutations were made in Gag polyproteins lacking the PR domain.
RIPA were performed three times, and a representative gel is shown in Fig. 2A. Gels were scanned by a Molecular Dynamics PhosphorImager, and radioactive bands were quantitated, in machine units, by using ImageQuant software. The averages ± standard deviations are shown.
RPAs were performed three times (Fig. 2B and C), and quantitation was done by PhosphorImager analysis. The averages ± standard deviations are indicated.
The relative packaging efficiencies to ΔPR were summarized from Fig. 2. The averages ± standard deviations were calculated from three independent experiments.
