MprA regulates the in vivo expression of sigB and sigE. Real-time qRT-PCR was used to measure the regulation of sigB, sigE, and mprA by MprA during the growth of M. tuberculosis under physiological conditions. Values represent mean differences (n-fold [±standard deviations]) between wild-type M. tuberculosis H37Rv and the mprA::Kmr mutant from experiments performed in triplicate. All values were determined to be statistically significant (*) (P < 0.05).
