(A) The 28-kDa OMP loci spanning genes 14 through 19 were amplified, and the products were resolved on a 0.9% agarose gel and detected after being stained with ethidium bromide. Lanes 1 to 10 contained PCR products generated from Osciola, Arkansas, Lithonia, Chattanooga, Wakulla, West Paces, Heartland, St. Vincent, Liberty, and Jax isolates, respectively. Panels B and C are the same as panel A except that the PCR primers used for amplification were specific to the 120-kDa gene and VLPT gene segments, respectively.
