Radial alveolar counts (RAC) as a percentage of day 1: Changes in RAC were seen as early as day 5 with RA alone-treated animals having significantly higher counts at days 5, 10, and 15. However, at d30, RA-treated animals had counts similar to controls. Dex alone-treated animals had significantly lower RAC at each time point studied.
