Admixture model considered in this study. A hybrid population is created tADM generations ago from a mixture of two parental populations that diverged tDIV generations before admixture time. Except for the admixture event itself, all populations are genetically isolated. The demographic model is characterized by seven parameters, which are the effective number of genes in the ancestral (N0), parental (N1 and N2), and admixed (NA) populations; the times of admixture (tADM) and divergence (tDIV); as well as the admixture proportion (λ) taken as the relative contribution of parental population 1 to the admixed population.
