Each value is the mean ± SEM of four mice infused for 5 min with [¹³C]-glucose (4 mg per mouse). The percent incorporation of [¹³C] into glutamate or GABA was measured 2 min after [¹³C]-glucose infusion was terminated. No significant differences were observed in any of the parameters analyzed.
