Confocal microscopy of active caspase 3 in Jurkat cells ingested by E. histolytica. Healthy TAMRA-labeled Jurkat cells (red) were centrifuged onto E. histolytica trophozoites (E. histolytica/Jurkat cell ratio, 1:2). Following 20 min of incubation (37°C), slides were fixed and stained for active caspase 3 with FITC-conjugated rabbit anti-active caspase 3 monoclonal antibodies (green).
