^aTetraodon HoxBa genes were identified by BLAT search using fugu HoxBa sequence as query. Their chromosomal locations were not assigned in the Tetraodon map.

^bHoxDb genes of fugu and Spheroides nephalus were characterized by Amores et al. (2004). Their putative orthologs in Tetraodon have been labeled as HoxCb in Jaillon et al. (2004).
