Blood vessels in tumor sections stained with anti-CD31 were counted from five microscopic fields for all tumors in the experiment shown in Fig. 4. The mean and SEM for the number of blood vessels in the tumors from the six mice in each treatment group are shown. The blood vessel density was significantly reduced in each of the anastellin (P < 0.02), sFN (P < 0.02), and sFBG (P < 0.01) groups relative to the vehicle alone group and the other control group that received III-11C.
