Atropine or mecamylamine were bath-applied 10 min before ACh application; 1 μm atropine prevents both 100 μm ACh-induced facilitation (n = 5) and 1 mm ACh-induced depression (n = 5) of the amplitude of the FPs elicited by WM stimulation. Mecamylamine (3 μm) failed to prevent 100 μm ACh-induced facilitation (n = 5) and 1 mm-induced depression (n = 6) of the amplitude of the FPs elicited by WM stimulation.
