The subject was a 61-year-old woman with an idiopathic macular hole in her left eye. The macular hole was anatomically closed after vitrectomy with internal limiting membrane peeling. Michelson contrasts were 0.086 (488 nm), 0.077 (514 nm), 0.066 (633 nm), 0.031 (780 nm), and 0.049 (red-free).
