Effects of microtubule motor inhibitors on HSV particle movement. Motility studies similar to those described in the legend of Fig. 3 were performed in the presence of AMP-PNP, sodium orthovanadate, or a mixture of the two or with buffer alone. The bars in the graph indicate the percentages of microtubule-bound HSV-associated particles that moved upon the addition of 500 μM ATP under each of the conditions tested.
