The Western blots show phosphorylated (pAkt; Ser473) (upper) and total (lower) Akt in the absence and presence of 10 μm LY294002. Compared with control 10 μm PE significantly increased phosphorylation of Akt. Prior exposure to 10 μm LY294002 blocked PE-induced Akt phosphorylation.
