DIDS does not cause significant effects on PCO2 at either concentration. HCO3 permeabilities are between 0.5 and 1.2 × 10−3 cm s−1 for controls of proximal, and 0.1 and 0.2 × 10−3 cm s−1 for controls of distal colon, and also exhibit no significant effects of DIDS.
