(Color) The percentage of Fe in each system of Experiment 2 that was partitioned to the aqueous phases. For some of the runs, the Fe(II)/Fe(III) ratio of aqueous Fe were determined by ferrozine assay, and are reported here. Note that the aqueous partitioning of Fe was extremely small (<0.1% of total Fe in the system).
