Conditioned rats received an intra-amygdala infusion of WIN (11 μg/side, n = 5) and 30 min later were presented with three shocks and 42 startle stimuli (0.6-mA, 0.5-sec shocks, 95-dB noise-burst startle). 3 d later, the same rats were returned to the startle box, injected with vehicle, and similarly tested.
