Sbe22p is a homologue of Sbe2p. Amino acid sequence alignment of Sbe2p and Sbe22p of S. cerevisiae and their homologue in S. pombe (ORF C23D3.03c). The alignment was performed with BCM Search Launcher (Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX). Shading was performed with the Boxshade 3.21 program (Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer Research Bioinformatics Group). Some features of these proteins are annotated; both Sbe2p and Sbe22p display a predicted transmembrane domain at the C terminus (asterisks), and Sbe2p contains a potential coiled-coil region (line above the sequence).
