In double-immunostained cells, the localization of occludin to the cell–cell contact area after PD98059 treatment preceded E-cadherin in Ras-transformed MDCK cells. Cells were either untreated (Ras) or treated with 50 μM PD98059 for 1, 5, 10, and 20 h and then double immunostained with anti-E-cadherin antibody (a, c, e, g, and i) or anti-occludin antibody (b, d, f, h, and j).
