The values represent the averaged abundance (±10%) obtained for individual spots identified in at least three 2-DE duplicate gels representing each protein signature, which were scanned and analyzed using the PDQuest software. The absence of spots indicates an abundance lower than 0.1% of the total protein mass. Equivalent amounts (100 μg) of protein were loaded on each gel. Note that some protein spots (e.g., spots 23 and 56) are present in similar abundances in all secretomes and could be used for quantitative comparisons.
