Model for localization of Muc4, ErbB2, and ErbB3 in polarized and nonpolarized cells and their effects on MAPK signaling. The unpolarized cell shows the “quadcomplex” formed by neuregulin activation of ErbB3 to promote its association with the Muc4–ErbB2 complex (Carraway et al., 1999b, 2002).
