Strong silencing of KIF14 prevents midbody cleavage and induces cytokinesis failure. HeLa cells were transfected with either a luciferase-specific siRNA (A) or the S-1 KIF14-specific siRNA (B). Twenty hours posttransfection, time-lapse imaging was initiated and images were generated at 5 min intervals for 20 h. The elapsed time for each sequence of images is denoted in minutes with the initial image set at time (T) zero.
