Calcineurin is necessary for normal conidiation. Cultures of 20 μl of 1 × 10⁶ conidia/ml were grown on glucose minimal medium agar for 48 h at 37°C. Conidia of the ΔcnaA mutant showed clumping and disjunctors formed between individual conidia as well as the absence of rodlets.
