Dendrogram of Dhc sequences and mapping of the Dhc10 gene. (A) The deduced amino acid sequences surrounding the conserved ATP hydrolytic site (P-loop 1) were aligned with the GCG program Pileup. The subset of Dhc sequences most closely related to Dhc1 is shown here. The Chlamydomonas reinhardtii (Cr) Dhc1 (U61364, AF243806) and Dhc10 (AJ132799) sequences are marked by asterisks.
