Timed temperature shift of an mps1-1 strain produces two-spored asci. Wild-type (YUMY4B1) and mps1-1 (YUMY4C9) strains were sporulated at 34 or 25°C for 6 h and then shifted to 34°C. Spore morphology was counted for 200 cells of each culture after 24 h of sporulation.
