The kinetic trace of the change in absorbance at 1,653 cm⁻¹ ascribed to α-helix at 10°C. Four replicate experiments were averaged. The data were fitted to a biexponential function to give first-order rate constants of 1.00 ± 0.05 s⁻¹ and 0.030 ± 0.004 s⁻¹. The kinetic trace for β-sheet at 1,632 cm⁻¹ was very similar.
