Yap1p-GFP export is not impaired in a Δnup53 background. Yeast strains BMA41, Δnup53, or xpo1-1 (Table 1) were transformed with pLDB419(Yap1-GFP), grown in selective medium in the presence or absence of the oxidant diamide. GFP fusion proteins are visualized by confocal fluorescence and coincident fluorescence/differential interference contrast optics.
