Inactivation and activation gating parameters in cells expressing the wild-type, ΔΚ1500, K1500E, and K1500Q mutant Na+ channels. Inactivation and activation were determined with standard voltage clamp protocols. The values for m∞ and h∞ are the means of 9, 13, 12, and 6 experiments for hH1, ΔΚ1500, Κ1500E, and K1500Q, respectively. V1/2m for hH1 was significantly different from V1/2m for K1500E and K1500Q. V1/2h for ΔΚ1500 was significantly different from V1/2h for hH1, K1500E, and K1500Q. The bars represent SEM.
