Laser spots were produced in C57BL/6 mice on day 0, and i.v. injections of 2.8 × 109 VP of the control vector or the vector encoding the Icon were administered on days 1 and 4. The mice were killed on day 7. A Chi-square test of the data showed P < 0.0001.
