(A) M. gallisepticum strain S6 and transformant clone P2 were grown by initially placing running drops of an actively growing broth culture on agar medium. After colony formation, nitrocellulose blots were taken and strips perpendicular to the running drop containing each culture were cut from the blots and immunostained with MAb 86 (lane 1) or B3 (lane 2).
