Animals were immunized with a solidified egg white implant and challenged 14 and 21 days later with aerosolized OVA. The numbers of total infiltrating leukocytes (A) and eosinophils (B) in BAL fluid were evaluated at 24, 48, and 72 h after the challenge. An EPO assay (C) was used to estimate the number of eosinophils in lung tissue.
