Infection with S. venezuelensis reduces airway hyperactivity in a model of allergic airway inflammation. Changes in airway function were measured 48 h after an aerosol challenge of immunized rats (OVA/OVA) or a saline challenge of rats subjected to a sham operation (PBS/PBS).
