HEK 293 cells were transfected with expression vectors of full length ARF6 with C-terminally attached GFP (ARF6-GFP) (A) or a combination of ARF6-GFP and msec7-1 (B). Confocal fluorescence images are displayed on the left; transmitted light images of the same cells are displayed on the right. While ARF6-GFP alone was associated mainly with endosomes and partially along the plasma membrane (A), the ARF6-GFP/msec7-1 complex was located almost exclusively to the plasma membrane (B).
